How it works
A sitemap lists the URLs you want search engines to discover. Each URL must be absolute and from the same site; the tool resolves relative links, removes duplicates, #fragments and non-HTTP links, and escapes special characters. Google ignores changefreq and priority, but uses lastmod when it's accurate — only include it if it reflects real content changes. A sitemap can hold 50,000 URLs (50 MB); upload it to your site's root and submit it in Google Search Console. Since browsers can't crawl other sites, paste your URLs or your pages' HTML.
