How it works

KadiTools finds the EXIF block inside the file (the APP1 segment of a JPG, the eXIf chunk of a PNG, the EXIF chunk of a WebP) and removes it without touching the image data. Unlike re-saving in an editor, there's no recompression and no quality loss. Other formats are re-encoded, which drops all metadata.

FAQ

Does this remove my location?

Yes — GPS coordinates are stored in EXIF (and sometimes XMP, removed too by default).

Is the rest of the metadata kept?

Yes: color profile, comments and IPTC data stay. Use Remove Image Metadata to strip everything.
