First use only: the OCR engine and the language data (a few MB) are downloaded once and start loading as soon as you add an image. After that, reading takes a few seconds.
● Your image is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers. The first run downloads the processing model from a public CDN, then it's cached.
How it works
Screen text is small and anti-aliased, which confuses OCR engines trained on printed pages. KadiTools enlarges the screenshot 2× and converts it to high-contrast grayscale (inverting dark-mode screenshots automatically) before running Tesseract in your browser.

Does it work with dark mode?
Yes. Light text on a dark background is detected and inverted before recognition.
Where's my screenshot stored?
Only in this tab's memory. Close or reload the page and it's gone.
